Congratulations to Mrs. Angela Richter, Triad's 2024-2025 Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award winner.

Angela Richter demonstrates excellence in teaching through high student engagement, continuous reflection, and personal improvement.  She gives of her time and talent to ensure her students, her school, and the Triad district are among the best in the St. Louis area.  

Mrs. Richter is in her 17th year teaching for the Triad School District where she currently teaches fourth grade at Marine Elementary School.  Angela is a dedicated leader in the classroom, committed to her students’ success and the growth of the Triad School District.  She is always one of the first volunteers to pilot new curricula, technology, or district initiatives to better the learning environment and heighten the experience for her students in the classroom.  Mrs. Richter currently serves on the Triad Elementary Science Curriculum committee, the Triad Into Reading Pilot committee, the Marine Elementary/St. Jacob Elementary Bridges 4th and 5th Grade Mixer Committee and is the Grade Level leader for Fourth-grade teachers in the Triad district.  She also chairs the Marine Elementary Spring Food Drive.  This nonperishable food collection contest helps support all three of the Triad communities when the Ministries Unlimited food pantry is typically at its lowest point of the year.  Mrs. Richter regularly invites guest speakers into the classroom to make the curriculum come alive, especially when it comes to her science lessons.  Every fall, she co-sponsors the Marine Elementary Running Club.  This after-school club provides 8 weeks of lessons on healthy lifestyle choices, role models and distance running.  During the second semester, Mrs. Richter cosponsors the Computer Coding Club. This club teaches not only computer coding skills but also student internet safety.  She gives of her time and talent freely so her students, her school, and her district benefit from her expertise.  

Mrs. Angela Richter goes above and beyond every school day for her students at Marine Elementary, contributes to the success of the Triad school district, and is well deserving of the Emerson Excellence in Teaching award.
